2016 AmeriCorps Missouri Funding Opportunity

The Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC) is seeking proposals from eligible organizations interested in operating AmeriCorps programs to strengthen local communities through national service and volunteerism. Eligible organizations include public or private nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, and state or local government entities.

Proposals from first-time applicants will be accepted for AmeriCorps State formula consideration. First-time applicants must propose to engage a minimum of five (5) and no more than ten (10) Member Service Years (MSYs). One MSY is the equivalent of one full-time AmeriCorps Member.

Key Dates

  • December 18, 2015 (5:00 PM, CST) - Deadline for Concept Papers (first-time applicants/existing sub-grantees proposing new projects). Email completed concept papers to jerron.johnson@ded.mo.gov.
  • March 11, 2016 (3:00 PM, CST) - Deadline for grant applications

Only organizations that attended the FY16 grant application workshops may submit an application for funding consideration. Organizations that propose to operate AmeriCorps programs in more than one state or territory apply directly to CNCS. National Direct applicants should consult with MCSC and coordinate activities at the local level.
