2021 AmeriCorps Funding

Funding Information

The Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC) is seeking proposals from eligible organizations interested in operating AmeriCorps programs to strengthen local communities through national service. Eligible organizations include public or private nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, educational institutions, and state or local government entities. Selected organizations will receive a federal grant to support positions that engage AmeriCorps Members in service to address critical unmet needs in Missouri.

Competitive Funding Consideration

To be considered for Competitive funding, an organization must have successfully administered an AmeriCorps Missouri grant through the Missouri Community Service Commission for at least one three-year project period. Additionally, the organization must meet all eligibility criteria as outlined in the Types of Awards section of this Notice. An applicant that is being considered for Competitive funding will also be considered for Formula funding if they are unsuccessful in the National competition for Competitive funding.

Formula Funding Consideration

To be considered for Formula funding, an organization must meet all eligibility criteria as outlined in the Type of Awards section of this Notice.

Continuation Funding Consideration

AmeriCorps Missouri programs administering a 2020-2021 AmeriCorps Missouri program through the Missouri Community Service Commission that are in the first or second year of their three-year project period are required to submit a Continuation application to continue receiving AmeriCorps Missouri funding for 2021-2022.

Competitive Applications

  • Monday , December 7, 2020 (5:00 p.m., CST) – Draft applications due to assigned program officer.
  • Friday, December 18, 2020 (5:00 p.m., CST) – Applications due in eGrants system.
  • Wednesday, January 6, 2021 (4:00 p.m., CST) – Commission submission of Competitive applications to the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Formula Applications

  • Wednesday, October 28, 2020 (5:00 p.m., CST)Notice of intent to apply forms due to MCSC.
  • Friday, December 18, 2020 (5:00 p.m., CST) – Concept papers due to MCSC. Email.
  • Friday, March 5, 2021 (3:00 p.m., CST) – Applications and any additional documents due to MCSC. Email.

Failure to submit a Notice of Intent to Apply Form will render a new applicant ineligible to submit a full application.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Note: Technical assistance is available to eligible applicants throughout the grant application period until Friday, February 26, 2021.
